HART-Communication rail-mounted two-wire transmitter for use in measurement and control systems.
Transmitters convert the low-level signal from thermocoupple or resistance thermometer into a high-level standard signal. The nonlinear input from temperature sensors is converted in a temperature- or EMF-linear output signal, depending on programming, of 4 ... 20 mA. The transmitter uses the HART- communication principle, i. e. HART- protocol and frequency shift keying on the 4 ... 20 mA current output loop.
The system ensures either multi- drop communication with up to 15 units or full operation as a 2-wire transmimtter in a 4 ... 20 mA current loop. Extensive calculations like drift/offset compensation, linearisation, limit comparison are done `on site`, which means immediately close to the sensor. For the transmitter configuration a HART- interface is available. A comfortable user-friendly software is used for programming communication and operation. Standard parameters available via the HART-interface as well as i.e. the measuring value, limits, cool joint temperature etc. without affecting the analog output of 4 ... 20 mA.
Our model RT-RH is especially designed for use in small and wall-mounted housings. The compact size of the rail-mounted housing (only 22.5 mm width) allows a high packing density in the mostly rare cabinet space. The small height of 104 mm makes a double-stage mounting possible. In most cases an extension of existing systems is easy to realise.
